ACTIVA rejuvenators allow the reuse of high percentages of reclaimed asphalt, producing mixtures with performance equal to or superior to those made with only virgin bitumen.
REACTIVE ACF
Rejuvenator for hot mix asphalt, plant-based, readily biodegradable additive developed to maximize the use of reclaimed asphalt and ensure high performance of the new bituminous mix. It allows the production of mixtures with high percentages of reclaimed asphalt without compromising performance or durability. It enhances the overall performance of the mixture and extends the pavement’s service life by rejuvenating aged bitumen and restoring its flexibility and ductility.

Made from renewable raw materials using non-edible vegetable oils, so it does not interfere with the food chain like other edible vegetable oils (sunflower, palm, rapeseed, etc.).
Liquid and easily pumpable, with high flash and boiling points. Remain stable at high temperatures, with performance unchanged even after several days of storage in hot bitumen at 160°C.

LOWTHERM ACF
Rejuvenator for warm mix asphalt, developed to maximize the use of reclaimed asphalt, rejuvenates aged bitumen, and at the same time allows the production, laying, and compaction of mixtures with high percentages of recycled aggregate at temperatures 20-40°C lower than those traditionally used. It improves the workability and compaction of the new bituminous mix without compromising performance or durability, helping to extend the pavement’s service life.

Instructions for Use
Depending on production requirements, the additive can be introduced directly into the plant mixer, with a dosing pump, or into the bitumen storage tank. They are stable at high temperatures and have a very low volatility index, with performance remaining unchanged even after several weeks of storage in hot bitumen at 180°C.

Dosage Guidelines
A dosage between 0,1% and 0,3% by weight of the reclaimed asphalt is recommended. The exact amount depends on the quantity and quality of the reclaimed asphalt binder, the penetration grade of the virgin bitumen, and the production and laying temperature.
